ARTICLE I |

MEETINGS |
| |
|
Regular meetings shall be held at least once a month with the annual meeting to be held in March. |

ARTICLE II |
| |
QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP |
| |
|
1. |
Application for membership must be recommended by two members in good standing. The prospective member must attend one meeting and a minimum of two rides, plus two other events before becoming eligible for membership. The sponsors will be responsible to see that all of the requirements are fulfilled within a twelve month period, starting with the first event/ride/meeting. When a prospective member has fulfilled the necessary requirements for membership, that person shall be asked to leave the meeting area so the membership can vote by ballot on the prospective member. If the person is voted in as a member and the spouse wishes to join, they can automatically become a member without ballot. After a vote of acceptance and payment of initiation fee and dues, the member will be entitled to all privileges of the club. |

2. |
A friend of a single member who does not own a motorcycle may be eligible
for membership under the following conditions: |

A. |
They must follow the normal membership qualifications. |
| |
|
|
B. | If the relationship between the member and the friend would dissolve
and/or the member quits the club, the said friend's membership will be
terminated at that time and any unused dues will be reimbursed to said
person. |

|
3. |
Any previous member wishing to renew membership in the club may do so
after a ballot vote of the majority of members present at a meeting and
upon payment of another initiation fee and one month’s club dues.

4. |
Associate members - Associate members will pay dues and
have the rights and privileges of regular members. Associate members may
not hold a club office other than Chaplain or Historian. Associate members
are not required to own a motorcycle.

Qualifications for associate membership: |
| |
|
|
A. | Any member in good standing that does not ride a motorcycle may apply
for associate membership. |
| |
|
|
B. | The number of associate members will be restricted to not more than
20% of the total club membership. |
| |
|
|
C. |
The membership will vote by ballot at a regular scheduled club meeting
to accept or reject applications for associate membership. |
| |
|
5. |
Members must vote by secret ballot on accepting or rejecting a prospective
member. |
| |
|
6. |
A new member shall pay a $5.00 initiation fee, $7.50 if a couple, and
one month’s dues upon acceptance per person. The club will provide
each club member with one arm patch to be worn on the left sleeve of the
official shirt. |

|
7. |
Honorary membership shall be used for motorcycle dealers interested
in joining. They will pay no dues and have no voting privileges. |

ARTICLE III |
| |
UNIFORM |
| |
|
1. |
The official club uniform shall be a white collared dress shirt, with the Fox Valley Rider logo on back; the club patch on left sleeve, the American Flag patch on the right. Placement of both patches will be centered at the halfway point of a short sleeve shirt or the halfway point between the shoulder and the elbow on a long sleeved shirt. They will be placed using the center of the patch as a reference point. The lettering on the back of the shirt is in black. Black pants will complete the uniform. Any tasteful hat may be worn (no profanity or alcohol advertisements). The official club vest will be black with the club logo on back done in white. The vest is optional. |

2. |
New members will have sixty days after acceptance to acquire said uniform. |
| |
|
3. |
The official club uniform shall be worn at all club functions/rides
unless otherwise specified. Club members will be fined $1.00 plus loss
of 5 points for failure to do so. |

4. |
Optional summer attire can include a white collared sleeveless dress shirt with the club logo on the back and/or mid-thigh length, hemmed black shorts. |

ARTICLE IV |
| |
DISBURSEMENTS |
| |

1. |
The President has the power to authorize expenditures up to $15.00 without
club approval beforehand. Treasury funds, as voted upon, may be used for
refreshments. |

2. |
The treasurer of the club will sign all checks. Authorization of disbursements
over $50.00 shall be by vote of the majority of members present at a meeting. |

ARTICLE V |
| |
FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS |
| |

1. |
The person planning a club ride shall act as road captain and lead the
ride. Members shall stay within the speed limit and obey the road captain
at all times. Any person passing the road captain, except with permission,
shall stand refreshments for the whole group at the next stop. |

|
2. |
Club rides shall start on time set at the previous meeting. Stops and
routes will be stipulated before departure, and notices posted at the
starting point and along the route if possible. |

|
3. |
The road captain is to appoint an assistant, if the group is too large
to ride together and must divide for safety. Otherwise, the group is to
stay together. |
| |
|
4. |
All members shall carry liability insurance with the policy number and
expiration date to be kept on file with the secretary and will be updated
annually. Unless this is done, the member will not be allowed to participate
in club events. |

|
5. |

| |
|
6. |
Regarding scheduling events after the regular meetings: To earn points
for said events, the entire membership must be notified at least four
days in advance of the event. |

ARTICLE VI |
| |
ACTIVITIES AND MILEAGE POINTS |
| |
|
1. |
Points are counted from January 1 through December 31, and are based
on couples. Example: if only the husband or wife attends a meeting they
receive only ten points. If both attend they still only receive ten points. |

|
2. |
Mileage for the club's annual mileage award will be computed by actual
miles ridden by that member. A couple together with two motorcycles cannot
add the mileage together. But a person owning two motorcycles and riding
both can combine the mileage from said motorcycles. |

|
3. |
A couple owning individual motorcycles shall have the option to declare,
at the beginning of the club year, as separate entities for the purpose
of point accumulation |

ARTICLE VII |

DISCIPLINE |
| |
|
1. |
A member may be expelled for conduct unbecoming a gentleman/lady, but
charges must be first made in writing to the President and be reviewed
by the officers of the club. They shall take evidence and report findings
to the club with the recommendations that the charges be proven and the
accused be expelled, or the charges are not proven and the accused member
remain a member. The members shall then take a vote and decide whether
the recommendations of the officers be adopted. It shall require a quorum
of the membership to request a vote. |

2. |
Any person causing damage to someone's property shall make restitution
for like amount. |

ARTCILE VIII |
| |
DUTIES |
| |
|
1. |
A member wishing to run for office must have been a member for one
year. |
| |
|
2. |
No two members of the same household shall hold office
of President and Treasurer during the same term of office. |
| |
|
3. |
Three members are to be appointed at the January meeting for the purpose
of auditing the treasurer's books and completing said audit before the
next meeting. |

|
4. |
Records of the treasurer shall be kept for a period of seven years, all
previous records shall be destroyed. |

ARTICLE IX |
| |
HOSPITALIZATION AND DEATHS |
| |
|
1. |
Any member who is confined to the hospital for more than one night, shall
be sent a remembrance not to exceed $30.00 limited to one per year. Otherwise
a card shall be sent. |

|
2. |
In the event of the death of an immediate family member (child, mother,
father, sister, brother, spouse) they will be sent a remembrance not to exceed
$35.00. But in the death of a fellow member the remembrance amount to
be sent shall not exceed $50.00. We will leave it up to the family to
notify the club whether they want flowers or memorial fund. |

3. |
The treasurer will purchase the item and pay for it without a vote of
the membership. |

ARTICLE X |

AMENDMENTS |
| |
|
These
By-laws shall be made or amended only by a quorum (25% of the membership)
at a meeting. |
